The "Auto Start":  Provide a Solution and Look Like an Expert

Typical Scenario: Your client has a trade show, a meeting, or a sales seminar next week He has not finished printing his hand out materials. He is desperate.

Your Solution: Recommend a CD Business Card, or Mini Disc programmed by CD Source Direct to auto-start and open up his web site. Just put the CD in the computer tray and like magic the disc will open the computer’s web browser and go to the precise web page specified by your client.

If there is more than one web page, or if there are other data files such as a product video, or even a PDF catalog, the auto-start disc can open to a menu of links that will allow the user to access the files from the disc – or to go to the desired web pages.

Another great advantage of this solution is that, your client’s disc controls there the computer goes. It avoids any possibility of the user going to a search engine where your client’s competition may pop up. It is a secure way to get your client’s customer to exactly the right spot without them wondering all around the internet finding similar products or solutions.

Not only do you look like you know your stuff, but you have provided a costs effective and timely solution to a problem that is sure to get more business in the future.

Now you have established yourself as the CD expert and more project are coming your way!

The WIN-WIN-WIN-WIN solution. 4 More reasons why your customer will love you.

While the printed page or printed catalog will never disappear altogether, the days printing on paper as a medium of information distribution are numbered.

Consider the following Points

WIN– Media Presentations are more effective. Whether a simple link to a web site, a Power Point presentation, or a sophisticated multi media presentation, Digital media presentations are more captivating than print media and can communicate more information in a quicker time frame.

WIN! – Save on paper and all of the costs associated with print. Not only do you save more trees, but you eliminate the waste and byproducts associated with paper and ink.

WIN! – Save on Transport. You can fit 20,000 pages of Black and White text on a single CD. Printed paper weighs a lot compared to a CD that weighs under an ounce. Cost justification for mailing or shipping becomes a no-brainer.

WIN! – Save Time. Deliver as few as 25 or as many as 10,000 CDs or DVDs in 3 – 5 days!

Digital Media, Its just a better way….

Do I need a CD ROM or a CD-R? What is the Difference?
This is the number one question our customers ask on a daily basis.

The CD ROM and the CD-R in some cases are 2 ways of accomplishing the same thing. However depending on their application and the needs of the client they are very different.

The “ROM” in CD-ROM stands for “Read Only Memory.”  This style of disc is used when you wish to “replicate” the same data or information on every disc. With the CD ROM you submit a Data Master with your order. From that data master we create a Glass Master which is used during manufacturing to literally stamp the data into each disc as it is being molded from raw polypropylene plastic. The CD ROM is the most cost effective and efficient way to manufacture a high volume of discs and is the standard format used by record labels and software companies for the distribution of their products. The capacity of a CD ROM is 650 MB and requires 10 days to manufacture.

The “R” in CD-R stands for “Recordable.” Just about everyone with a computer today has a CD-R burner on their system. The CD-R is often called a “blank” CD. It provides a recordable surface and allows you to record unique and specific data on each disc. This capability is currently used by wide variety of industries and businesses to customize data presentations for specific individuals and smaller groups. They are also used in a wide variety of client based industries ranging from Title Companies to Radiology Labs where individualized records can be maintained on a single disc. The CD-R.

What About DVD’s?  The same scenario applies to DVD-ROM verses DVD-R.
